Glendhu Slab Hut

This hut was built from pit-sawn timbers in the 1860s and is presently the oldest building at the Village. It began life as the police station for the native mounted police on Glendhu cattle station south west of Herberton before being moved to the Village in the 1980s. Today, visitors get a sense of life at this time with this very old building showcasing what a home would have been like, with a kitchen, dining area and bedroom.
